About this collection

Exploring Environmental History is a podcast about human societies and the environment in the past. The periodic programs feature interviews with people working in the field, reports on conferences, and discussions about the use and methods of environmental history. They cover a wide range of topics reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of environmental history, including landscape history, forestry and land use, pollution and ideas and perceptions of nature. The podcasts are posted on the Environmental History Resources website, which is maintained by the environmental historian Jan Oosthoek. (Text adapted from the EHR homepage.)
