[027] zunge diesseits. Ich war im ganzen 8 Stunden fort und ziemlich müde, als ich um 5h nach Haus zurückehrte. Ich habe aber heute die Skier recht schätzen gelernt. Auf dem Heimwege nahm ich 2 Schwarzphotographien, die sowohl wegen der Bergformen als wegen der Wolken interessant sind. Gestern habe ich meine letzte Schwarzplatte des alten Dutzends für eine Interieur-Aufnahme gebraucht, und dann sowohl Farb-wie Schwarzplatten gewechselt, so daß ich vorläufig wieder klar bin. Aber nun hängen wieder schwere Stratus Wolken über den Bergen. Wer weiß wie lange das wieder dauert. Ich fürchte, ich werde mit meinem Programm hier doch nicht ganz fertig werden.

[027] tongue of land on this side. I was away for 8 hours altogether and fairly tired when I returned home at 5. Today I truly learned to value the skis. On the homeward journey I took 2 black-and-white photographs which are interesting both because of the mountain formations and the clouds. Yesterday I used my last black-and-white plate of the old dozen for an interior recording, and then changed both the color and the black and white plates, meaning that I am ready again for now. But now there are heavy stratus clouds again over the mountains. Who knows how long that will last again. I fear that I may not be able to complete my program here after all.
