Gegen 2h waren wir wieder am Zelt angelangt und brachen um 4 Uhr mit Bagage auf, um den besagten Haupteingang zu untersuchen. Der Raum zwischen Inlandeis und Land wurde auch nach dieser Richtung immer schmaler, doch noch vor der Stelle, wo ersteres möglicherweise ganz an das Land herantritt, kamen wir wie erwähnt, auf Stromschnellen und schlechtes Eis, so daß mehrmals nicht viel gefehlt hätte, daß wir eingebrochen wären. Nun blasen wir zum Rückzuge und wollen unser Heil wieder in dem Jarner (Alias „Borge“-) Fjord versuchen.
