[072] Zwischenraum ist aber ganz mit Trümmerbrei ausgefüllt, genau wie bei der großen Kalbung am Brede-Bræ, die überhaupt ganz dasselbe Bild gab. Die Lösung eines einzelnen Eisberges kann jedenfalls keine Welle erzeugen, die durch diese stagnierende Trümmermasse hinaus gelangen könnte. Dazu gehört jedenfalls eine Kalbungskatastrophe à la Brede-Bræ mehr. In einem noch nicht aufgeklärten Verhältnisse zu dem Jakobshavener Gletscher steht die Jakobshavener Flutwelle. (Auszug aus V. [072] The gap is completely filled with a porridge-like mass of debris, exactly as in the great calving of Brede-Bræ, which actually had the same appearance. The melting of a single iceberg cannot produce a wave that could escape this mass of stagnating debris. At any rate, this would require another calving catastrophe like the Brede-Bræ. The relationship between the Jakobsvner Glacier and the Jakobshavener flood wave has not yet been resolved. (Extract from V.
