Nicole Seymour works on contemporary American literature, film, and culture, with a special interest in environmental cultural studies. Her research maps out alternative traditions of environmental activism and affect. She is now assistant professor of English at California State University, Fullerton. At the Rachel Carson Center she worked on on the book Bad Environmentalism: Irony and Irreverence in the Ecological Age, published in 2018.
