Osborne, Mike, and Miles Traer. “Generation Anthropocene Is Upon Us.” Filmed June 2013. TEDx video at TEDxStanford, 14:36. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAozZds7FRs.

Inspired by courses they’ve developed at Stanford, Mike Osborne and Miles Traer created the Generation Anthropocene podcast, a volunteer-based audio show featuring thought leaders. Anthropocene is an informal term that marks the evidence and extent of human activities that have had a significant global impact on the Earth’s ecosystems. Osborne holds degrees in criminology from the University of Montana and geology from the University of Texas. He is currently finishing his PhD at Stanford, where he studies climate change in the tropical Pacific. Traer began his academic career studying the origin of earthquakes and is currently finishing his PhD at Stanford investigating the evolution of the seafloor. (Source: TEDx Talks)
