These EXIT Times is the “vehement voice” of the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement (VHEMT, pronounced “vehement”). The VHEMT slogan is “May we live long and die out.” This issue condemns reproduction, often stridently or flippantly, and includes a vasectomy rap. It is a special “pre-2000” Earth First Journal edition.

Try it for yourself. Estimate how many times you’ve engaged in sexual activity in your lifetime. Now estimate how many times you were trying to make a baby. Divide the little number by the big number to give you the percent of times sex and procreation have simultaneously motivated you.
