Stelle bleibt offen, namentlich für den Geologen, vielleicht auch für einen Seemann oder eine andre Hilfskraft (Tischler etc.). Auch ist denkbar, dass der Kartograph, vielleicht auch der Botaniker oder Meteorologe die Station auf längere Zeit verlässt. In Krankheitsfällen kann der Arzt der Hauptexpedition für längere Zeit Aufenthalt nehmen. Eine solche Station würde weit mehr Anziehungskraft für alle Teilnehmer haben, als Drygalskis Kerguelen-.Station, da sie auf dem eigentlichen Südpolar-Kontinent angelegt werden soll, da sie außerdem die wichtigsten Schlitteneisen machen soll und überhaupt alle Aufgaben einer eigentlichen Polarexpedition hat. Man würde daher auch leichter das richtige Menschenmaterial für sie erhalten. Wer der Leiter der Station sein muß, hängt von den Persönlichkeiten

It would also be conceivable for the cartographer, possibly also the botanist or the meteorologist, to leave the station for an extended period of time.
