Rationell arbeiten kann man aber mit dem Propellerschlitten nur dann, wenn sowohl Bahn und Wind günstig sind. Auch ein solcher Tag ist uns bereits durch die Lappen gegangen, weil die Markierung fehlte; das wird ja nun hoffentlich nicht mehr vorkommen. Aber ob und wie oft wir überhaupt noch jetzt im Herbst diese Zusammenstellung bekommen, ist wohl zweifelhaft. Es könnte sein, daß auf diese Weise im Lauf des Septembers nur eine Fahrt hinein nach 400 zu Stande kommt. Was dann? Noch liegen etwas 4000 kg Teile hier, teils bei 25 km die hinein sollen. Davon mögen 10 Kisten = 500 kg entbehrlich sein als Sommerproviant für nächstes Jahr. Weitere 10 Kisten (500 kg) würde ich hier lassen, wenn Kraus nicht dort, sondern in der Randstation überwintert.
